April 27, 2001 - Network Downtime

San Diego, CA - Due to constraints of our internet provider, the Adswap network was forced to move it's server late Thursday evening to a new location. This was a big deal and took the efforts of several individuals to coordinate the shipping and hooking up of the equipment in the new location in South Carolina. While the equipment was in transport Network Solutions changed over the DNS settings to allow the internet to find the server when it was hooked up Friday. Connectivity was achieved Friday, but by IP address only. It will take several days for the new IP information and DNS settings to propagate all internet databases.
